The team involved in the Neal Casal Music Foundation (NCMF) has been profoundly impacted by Neal, both in his life and in his passing. We have aligned our collective efforts alongside our community’s encouragement towards a greater good. 

In the spirit of the thoughtful approach Neal is known for in his interactions, we aim to carry a similar approach through our initiatives.

Collaborators

  • Michele Augis

    Digital strategist and entrepreneur, Michele became inspired to work in the music industry shortly after meeting Neal in 2006, and is supporting the foundation’s vision and mission as a board member.

  • Kevin Calabro

    Publicist, record label owner & artist manager, Kevin is a trusted team member for all Neal’s projects, including Circles Around The Sun, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and now the Neal Casal Music Foundation.

  • Missi Callazzo

    Record label owner and executive, Missi met Neal in 1989, when she and Gary Waldman worked at a label together. Along with years of friendship, Missi’s label also distributed releases of Neal’s bands, as well as the forthcoming, Highway Butterfly.

  • Dave Schools

    Widespread Panic bassist, studio veteran and producer, Dave shared time with Neal in Hard Working Americans and is preserving Neal’s legacy as a co-producer of Highway Butterfly & NCMF board member.

  • Jim Scott

    A 7-time Grammy winning producer and recording engineer, Jim produced Neal’s first solo album, Fade Away Diamond Time in 1995, Anytime Tomorrow in 1999, the most recent Circles Around The Sun album and co-produced Highway Butterfly.

  • Mark Seibel

    Mark’s friendship with Neal for over 30 years included working as a tour and stage manager. Now as the NCMF merch manager, you’ll find Mark onsite at festivals and venues helping to spread the good word of the NCMF.

  • Gary Waldman

    Artist manager and tour producer, Gary founded the Neal Casal Music Foundation influenced by his 30+ year friendship with Neal, and is spearheading all its initiatives as the executive director.

Board Members

  • Christy Coleman

    Meeting Neal when he was 24 and spending 9 years together, Christy and Neal’s creative lives were intertwined as muses for each other, with Christy eventually inspiring Neal’s photography.

  • Matt Sandoski

    A longtime touring audio engineer and Production Manager, Matt also owns and operates a music school in Montclair, NJ. Matt worked with Neal as the audio engineer for Circle Around the Sun.

  • Willa Scantlebury

    Principal of a graphic design company, Willa was a close lifelong friend of Neal’s. Along with his mom Barbara, they spent many holidays and downtime together with their combined families.
